rAHUL JAIN HIP AND KNEE SURGERY

My Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon Practice.

Fellowship-Trained Consultant Hip & Knee Surgeon

I was appointed as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in 2003 and held an NHS post until 2017. I specialise exclusively in hip and knee surgery, with particular expertise in complex joint replacement and revision procedures.

I am a high-volume hip and knee surgeon with over two decades of consultant experience, and my outcomes are documented through the National Joint Registry. This reflects my ongoing commitment to delivering consistent, high-quality results.

My treatment approach is tailored to each patient’s diagnosis, functional goals, and overall health profile. I may recommend structured physiotherapy, advanced injection therapies, hip resurfacing, complex reconstructive procedures, or total hip replacement performed using modern, evidence-based surgical techniques.

SPECIALIST TRAINING

UK and International Fellowship Experience

I completed the prestigious West Midlands Orthopaedic rotation, where I trained alongside leading figures in hip and knee replacement surgery, including designers of modern hip resurfacing implants.

My advanced training focused on complex joint reconstruction and tumour-related bone loss at the internationally renowned Royal Orthopaedic Hospital.
I further enhanced my expertise through specialist fellowships at leading centres in the United Kingdom, Canada and the United States.

My Choice of Implants

Why I Prefer Stryker Implants.

As an orthopaedic consultant surgeon looking for the best possible outcome for my patients, my choice of implants for surgeries need to be of the highest quality in the market and that is why I choose Stryker Implants System.
I use Stryker hips and knees as they have a ODEP 10A* rating, and have been in the top three implants on the National Joint Registry since it began.
I particularly like the Stryker implants as they use X3 polyethylene i.e. polyethylene that has been triple annealed and therefore has properties similar to ceramic – tough and durable

Knee Implants

With regard to total knee replacements, I use the Stryker Triathlon implant, which has an ODEP 10A * rating and uses X3 triple annealed polyethylene which gives durability and toughness.
The Triathlon Total Knee System is a primary total knee replacement system designed to work with the body. Triathlon has been implanted in over 3 million patients worldwide.

Hip Implants

With regard to total hip replacements, I use the Stryker Exeter implant, which has an ODEP 10A * rating and uses X3 triple annealed polyethylene which gives durability and toughness.
In younger patients I use an uncemented hip – Trident/Accolade and a ceramic head.
